Records that have been imaged or converted to the computerised titling system can be accessed in several ways including the internet, over the counter at LPI, using public terminals at LPI, State Records and State Library and through approved Information Brokers.

Historical Land Records Viewer (formerly known as Pixel)
For charting maps including County, Parish and Town maps. The Torrens Purchasers Index will be available late 2011.
Look here for a large range of titling records including Crown plans, Manual Torrens folios, dealings, Deposited plans, Old System deeds, Details of Leases in a Complex, and other records for purchase. Most index inquiries are free.
A map-based view of New South Wales contains current and historical aerial imagery, land boundaries and title references, and many other spatial features. Requires a download of free software.
Light version of SIX Viewer. No download required but renders less detail than the SiX Viewer.
In Baseline, a heritage portal for land-related records, you can find the Index of Surveyor’s Field Books, online exhibitions of heritage material, and information about other historic collections.

Access to State archives
Land records dating from 1792 including land grant registers and related land records, conditional purchase records and primary application packets.
State Records will close its city reading room at 2 Globe Street, The Rocks, from 1 July 2012.
Access to the public terminals and transferred land records will be via the western Sydney reading room (Kingswood). For further information please visit www.records.nsw.gov.au
