Pre-press
Our Pre-press team handles the graphic design and set up of printing jobs, working closely with production staff and customers. Operating in both Mac and PC environments allows us to accept files from a wide range of sources and applications.
- Design solutions - logo design, illustration, corporate branding, and concept development to meet any budget, distribution and design requirements.
- Photography - on-site photographs or studio product shots, film and digital, with fast turnaround.
- Proofs and platemaking - can be ready in under an hour, with precision colour systems matching the proof to the finished product.
Printing and digital reproduction
Our offset printing facilities cover a broad range of products from small format (stationery, forms and book covers) to large format (maps, posters, books and catalogues). We also offer digital printing services for short-run, fast turnaround production to meet challenging customer deadlines.
- High-quality large-format printing - we can print up to 12,000 full-colour A0+ sheets (each equivalent to 16 A4 pages) an hour. This is ideal for maps and posters but also gives speed, flexibility and economy for multiples of smaller products such as publications and brochures - even in short runs.
- Small-format offset printing - for small to medium print runs, ideal for book covers, business stationery, forms, brochures, certificates, envelopes, posters, and small-format mapping. We can provide specialised security products such as tamper-proof Certificates of Title.
- Digital printing - high-quality A4 and A3 colour laser prints can run minutes after receiving customer files, or directly from hardcopy. We also do ‘smart’ printing of black-and-white A4 and A3 duplex documents, including personalised information on colour stationery, which can then be folded, inserted into envelopes and sorted for bulk mailing.
- Scanning, digital prints, poster/display prints (including glossy banners up to 910mm wide and to any length) and CD/DVD production.
Mail house
The mailing team offers a complete processing service including customer database cleansing, the personalising of individual items, through to co-ordination with Australia Post for distribution. We have a proven ability to handle large volumes over short timeframes with a high level of accuracy.
Print finishing and conservation
We can trim, fold, collate or bind just about any printed product, and undertake conservation work to exacting standards of craftsmanship.
- Finish binding - trimming, collating, folding, drilling, wire and sewn binding. We have advanced folding technology for large-format printed products, and are also suited for short-run book production.
- Restoration and hand binding - our highly-skilled staff restore old books, plans and documents needing conservation and repair. We are experienced in unbinding and rebinding within short turnaround times to support scanning projects. We also offer a hand binding service for loose-page documents such as reports, council minutes and university thesis.
- Framing, laminating and mounting - gloss and matt laminating , foamcore mounting, framing and specialty mounting, especially for aerial photography enlargements and display-style posters.
Warehousing and dispatch
Our warehousing facilities enable us to store and distribute customers’ finished product on demand. Our inventory system allows for product tracking right up to customer delivery.
